Monster visible despite not being in my line of sight

In the attached screenshot, a rat is visible to the east of my character, even though there is a wall between my character and the rat. (Don’t have a save file for this issue unfortunately.)

When I walked over to its location, the rat was actually there - so this seems to have been a genuine case of seeing through a wall rather than some type of visual glitch.

It is worth noting that my character is wearing a Robe of the Eyes, extending their sight range, though I’m not aware of this robe granting an ability to see through walls.
