Artifact Balancing
It may be partially due to playstyle, but I find myself never using approximately half of the artifacts that I find - in most cases I leave them on the floor where I found them. Considering the rarity of artifacts and the effort that goes into acquiring them, I feel that they should have more utility. Perhaps, although they are indestructible, it should be possible to convert them exp/pp/hp? Then it would at least be worth getting them for the exp gain.

reporter When it comes to body armor, the DV/PV and stat bonuses of my current armor are usually better. Similarly, I find most of the artifact melee weapons to be underwhelming as far as damage potential goes. I am more likely to use artifact weapons on my spell casters. Similarly, I regularly use artifact crossbows when I am not focusing on ranged fighting. In both of those cases, the immunities, resistances, and stat gains are usually worth it.

reporter When I get time, I will try to take some screenshots during my runs and explain why I chose to leave behind individual artifacts. This might provide more insight into the needed balancing.
-
reporter Since I have no marked in ranged fighting (Focused on unarmed death magic skills and magic) and I already have the “Defensive Capabilities” from Death Mastery this Artifact is useless. Even if I didn’t have the “Defensive Capabilities”, bleed and sleep immunity are less than impressive.
-
reporter These were useful and I did equip them.
-
reporter The defensive stats on this armor were too low in comparison to my Adamantium Chain Mail (+9 PV) and the intrinsics didn’t seem to add a lot of extra value, so I left this artifact on the floor.
-
reporter Mildly useful artifact because of stun resistance and perception increase. Again, this character has no points in ranged fighting.
-
reporter Solid artifact due to the stat increases.
-
reporter I left this artifact behind because the damage potential was too low compared to my other options. The intrinsics were alright, but not enough to make up for the lack of damage,
-
reporter In this case, I used the artifact axe. Since I was primarily doing damage with bows/slings, it was worth the DPS loss to have stunning on my melee weapon.
-
reporter In this case, I wore the Black Iron Plate Mail of Strength for the strength bonus and kept the Adamantium Plate Mail in my backpack for the PV. Artifact was left behind.
-
reporter Kept this one for the intrinsic. This character won’t be engaging in ranged combat; instead sticking with melee and magic.
-
reporter Great artifact. Equipped it immediately.
-
reporter Equipped. Great as far a gloves go.
-
reporter Intrinsics are not worth the loss of damage potential and defense.
-
reporter Decent for intrinsics, but only if you have no intention of using your ranged weapon for damage.

Wow! Could you please open more details why you leave most of the artifacts behind? What’s wrong with them?
