It would help my workflow greatly if I were able to compile the dll natively on linux, using a crosscompiler. I don't know if it is even possible to compile CvGameCoreDLL using mingw-gcc, and even if I manage to do so it may be possible that Civilization IV chokes on the dll if it is not generated by MSVC. The following list includes information about this.

This would take away the possibility of debugging.
