Display the cell value within the cell when zoom level appropriate & preference is on
It could be useful to provide (as an option) the possibility of showing the values of the individual cell within the tiles whenever the zoom level allows it.

I'm not sure I see the utility of this suggestion. In what use-case would this add value? I think that providing a way to copy selected data in a tab-delimited format might suffice.

reporter The use-case would be: I am looking at a relatively small cluster within the clustergram and I would like to have a precise understanding of the values I'm looking at (rather than just their color intensity, relative to each other). I have had real life situations where we were hovering across all the cells in sequence, trying to figure out their values. Having the possibility of just showing all the values would make it much easier. It shouldn't be active by default, but it should be accessible as a preference. But I agree, this could be assigned the lowest priority.

I would make this additionally trigger-able via a hot-key (e.g. hold down "v" for value to see values). And when the cell is too small, the value could be shown above the cursor for whatever cell it is hovered over (note: not a tooltip, but an instantaneous value shown via changing the cursor appearance).
