Column clustering is slower than row clustering on a square matrix

Just noticed that, given a square matrix (1000 x 1000; attached), the progress bar on row clustering moves much faster than the column clustering. This could be related to the fact that column clustering does not complete and gets stuck at 100% without visualizing the result.

Since clustering has been revamped, and clustering is very much faster overall, that this issue is resolved now. Please re-open if it is found to still be slower.
