suggested by Ken. If we had a java applet interface to IRC, it could lead to more interactivity with vlcore issue creation/modification by having both simultaneously in tabs.

hata_ph mentioned http://webchat.freenode.net/. This would be a very quick way to implement the idea, and since its imbeded in an iframe, we could provide bookmark-type links to vlcore resources on the same page.
