vl71 Issue 37 fix is broken

Now, no matter whether the box is checked or not, splash is not used, and not available in default/grub, thus not to grub-mkconfig. Entering 'quiet splash' manually in generated grub.cfg still works, of course.

Take a look at merged vl71 pull requests #102 and #103. Seems that that would be an easier change to make.

It was not intended to merge this before it was examined, and either rejected or the installer was changed; but there was a misunderstanding. Sorry about that.
