Drop vcpufreq from STD ISO

Issue #14 resolved
Moises Henriquez created an issue

I'd like to suggest we drop the vcpufreq package from the STD ISO. This would also allow us to remove the gambas2-runtime package and quite possibly the qt3 package.

Newer CPU technologies render the vcpufreq tool outdated and useless to most users with newer hardware. The people who actually need it can always grab it from the repositories

It's possible that I might need vcpufreq more than just about anyone. If cpufreq isn't set up, my only comp turns to charcoal. Period.

Having said that, being able to drop gambas2-runtime from the ISO is worth it. The comp will hold out until the package can be found, installed, and run.

    So, yeah.

The suggestion is only to exclude it from the iso. The package can still be maintained in the repositories

Right. Exactly what I'm saying "yeah" to:

Dropping it from the ISO is a good idea.

Dropping it from the repos is death to my machine.

Put another way, even my comp can wait for it until after installation.

EEEP! I use this a LOT.

Is there a more "modern" version of this that still allows to get rid of the desired packages?

Afaik, xfce, gnome and i suppose kde all have power management daemons that can control your cpu governors
