reporter - changed title to LIGHT: gksu does not remember passwords
corrected typo "kdesu", it is "gksu".

This works just fine in STD... we're probably missing some package in LIGHT that is present in STD
-
Update: I just did a fresh install of LIGHT B1 32-bit and I cannot reproduce this.
Did an advanced install...formatted the / partition. (only one used for installation)

reporter That would be the first report of this working in Light. VM? Could you create an ova copy?
-
Yes. I can do that. Do you want it?
-
reporter Now testing gksu-polkit as a replacement for gksu.
-
reporter If it's not the one thing, it's another.. using gksu-polkit results in high CPU usage, which persists after closing the program with elevated privileges.
-
reporter - changed status to wontfix
Worked around the issue. Configured Light for use of gksudo, which does not present the "save password" option.
