Printer test page error
Issue #147
resolved
RC1 32-bit real hw:
Installed a Lexmark e120n printer via USB, used PPD file from openprinting.org
I can print from gedit, abiword, but when trying to print test page in cups:
printer-state-message="loadFile failed: temp file: not a PDF file"

Updated cups-filters as instructed. Neither mupdf nor openjpeg2 got pulled in as deps.
Printed test page from CUPS web interface without errors.

Good deal. That means mupdf and openjpeg2 are buildtime deps only, not runtime deps.

This looks like the
cups-filters
package is looking for an older libpoppler version. Rebuilding the cups-filters package against the current poppler version does not work (build fails).Proposed route: Update cups-filters to 1.14.0. This will require installation of
mupdf
andopenjpeg2
which should not cause any problems with other existing packages.
