ive noticed that if i use the debug menu to spawn anything in the saves i make with that dont work so if the game were to crash i would have to restart

The debug menu isn't really for long term modifications (at least not for now). Its intended use is to, well, help debug any issues (like no path being generated to the stairs, etc), and to aid in testing of new features.
