Unable to change starting weapon/accesory

Former user created an issue

it seems to be impossible in the latest version (0.9.0.1) to switch out of the starting weapon (the oak staff) on the mage class and the stealth gear on the rogue, either intentionally or via some negative outcome.

    I am currently working on a fix for this; in the meantime saving and loading will allow equipment to be changed.
