SmartPascal & OmniPascal

Smart Mobile Studio uses the DWScript compiler internally (with some slight values pre-defined, etc.) The IDE itself is a bit cumbersome in terms of text wrangling capabilities and I’ve been wondering if it is possible to use OmniPacal in VSCode to write SmartPascal and possibly build/debug it. If it is something that is configurable I will be happy to do it myself, but am not sure if it is entirely in the user space, rather some portions of the OmniPascal source code should be modified.
