I really like the VS Code Editor, using it for so many different languages is so cool. To bring OmniPascal much steps forward you should consider to develop the plugin in the open and accept community contributions.
I think this would make much sense and the whole delphi/object pascal community can take profit of it.

May I ask why it's not an option for you atm? I just would like to understand it.

Core features of the language service will be used in commercial developer tools in the future (e.g. for refactoring, code analysis etc).

Open sourcing OmniPascal is not an option for now. Maybe there will be some parts becoming open source but there are currently no plans to do this. As soon as this topic becomes more concrete this ticket will be reopened.
