Make the hook send out emails if the trigger did not work

Enhancement request from an email (thanks Piet :-)):

Is it possible to configure this add-on to send a report 
or email when for example the trigger cannot be 
sent (wrong url or expired password, etc.)
We are automatizing everything , and we would 
like faults to be reported automatically.
