How random, unfortunately though this is probably some kind of crazy windows glitch? Did forcing quit and then reopening fix the issue for you?

a force quit did fix the problem and it didn't happen after that. i did run on new release windows 10 and brand new gpus. 2 amd fury X in crossfire. it might been a driver bug or something.
