Dropping logs inside a house

If you drop a log inside a house it will spawn on the roof. It seems to be an issue with the size of the object, because dropping anything else works as expected.

How is this a duplicate if it is a different issue? The other thread talks about chopping down trees and the trees falling over a house, and my issue is when you drop a log (out of your inventory) while being inside a house.
