Keyboard and Mouse Bindings/Shortcuts disabled (Mac OS X 10.9.5)

When in the menu system, all standard shortcuts and bindings appear to be disabled. This stops Copu/Paste commands, Right-Clicking and App Switching to name a few.

Understandably disabled in game, while playing as keys and clicks will be bound to controls - but not from the menu system.
