Flashlight turning off when searching

Not sure if it is meant to happen but every time you search with the flashlight on it turns off, think it should remain on at all times until it is turned off by the player or battery dies.

Does this happen after the 1.0.5 patch? held items should no longer 'hide' when in invent sources - was super annoying.

it was done on purpose to help save 'battery life' ..... i assume a post (with poll) in 'suggestions -> gameplay would be the best way to handle this for the next tests

change to 'proposal'
