Cannot restore custom contacts

I wanted to copy my contacts from Samsung duos to Samsung Note 3. In duos the contacts are neatly organized in groups. I have many custom Groups like"office friends", "family friends" "service","restaurants" and so on. I used ultimate backup to export my contacts to note 3. I obseved that Groups are not restored. so I manually created the groups in note 3 and repeated the above steps but observed that contacts are not falling to respective groups. So I searched and came across Total backup. I installed it in duos and note 3. I created backup in duos and copied the zip file to note 3. From note 3 Total backup, I restored the backup and observed that the contacts that belonged to the group "Family" was only restored."Family" is a default group in Android contacts.
