EXIF editing problem

Hi,
I did a photoshot with afternoon with Samyang 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC that has no electronics inside. So there are no exif data for aperture, focal length and so on.

When processing the image I manually applied the lens profil.
Then I tried to add missing exif information.

I was able to change the "Lens Model" with the correct one.
However I could not update the "FNumber" to F8 (is goes back to F6) and when updating the "Focal Length" I get this error message:

RawTherapee has the exact same issue.
It this a problem with my setup or a bug present in both software ?

Hi, the UI is not very intuitive here I’m afraid. When you edit your number, you have to set it as a fraction. So for instance you need to enter “8” for F8, and “56/10” for F5.6.

Then it should work. And yes, a better way would be nice

Efectively it works much better when I write only the value without the unit.
Thanks for the info! If you have an idea to make it more obvious, don't hesitate to implement it.

Cela fonctionne en effet mais il n’est pas possible de saisir à la volée. On est obligé de quitter la photo et de la réouvrir pour voir le résultat de la saisie au clavier

i have improved this a little bit. Now the editor should be slightly smarter in parsing the input (for some common tags only though)
