Visibility of the mask while making brush strokes

While using the brush tool with the show mask checked, the mask is visible only after the stroke is completed. This makes it difficult to control the areas to apply the mask while brushing. Is it possible to view the mask in real time?

PS. Please advice is this the right forum for raising these issues, and if not please let me know where should I ask them.

Hello, I don’t think that is a bug, just the way it works. You can apply the brush mask very precise, just use short strokes and the result (the yellow mask) is shown nearly realtime. Don’t try to create a big brush mask at once, just be patient!

I use these masks a lot and I don’t find this little delay is very annoying…

this is the right place, but changing the behaviour would require a lot of internal modifications. For now, we have to live with the current way, sorry.
