First of all I'd like to thank you Alex for developing this tool. I have a Vaio model with a ricoh chipset camera, and on linux you're the only resource to get it to run. So, big, big thanks!
I'm running sabayon gentoo with the last 3.x kernel which needs r5u87x userspace driver to work.
This is what my lsusb says :
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05ca:1839 Ricoh Co., Ltd Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC6 [R5U870]
I compiled and installed your driver. The Whole process went fine, but I get grainy picture, like on the attached one.
Actually this picture appears with Cheese, Skype, Video Google Talk plugin, camorama. Changing the resolution (each low and high) has no effect to the picture, nor playing with camera control sliders Same for reloading the uvcvideo module and using "./loader --force-clear" as from your docs. In the past, I've used Ubuntu and opensuse. This issue would occur on both.
Thanks in advance and again, big thanks for your work :)
