Hello, After a few days of research on this glitch, I'm stuck... I run Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS (3.8.0-35-generic) on a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ18M. lsusb shows : ID 05ca:1837 Ricoh Co.
My webcam is detected and works. The supported resolutions are : 640x480, 320x240, etc.. When I run Cheese on 640x480, I get a black screen and it freezes. 320x240 or lower works fine (image is inverted, though). I have the same results when using Cheese or V4L2-CTL.
Is there a way to tell the driver NEVER to use 640x480 ? I would like to use Skype and I am not able to force resolution to 320x240 (even through editing config.xml).
Many thanks in advance ! Sary
