package: missing tutorial zero (conceptually)

Issue #90 resolved

hi james. and pa. and alex maybe.

it goes without saying that everything regards documentation is great. however every document needs a thorough once over to pick up all the requisite spelling / grammar etc, of which there is a bit, and the odd strange window aspect etc. i am sure you plan this.

my concern for current framelib doc state is conceptual. these tutorials are simply not basic enough for people beginning with framelib. i think you might be missing that framelib is seriously bloody hard to pick up the concept of at first. even for hardened max users. it is a completely new concept to the max environment.

the bottom line is you need pictures. you need diagrams with big arrows pointing to stuff. visual similes. all these should describe what framelib is. you need to visualise then explain wtf multirate processing is and means.

at the moment the tutorials start with what framelib is in max. not what it is. hans' post recently reminded me of this and what problems i had getting my head around everything at first. at the moment the package is academic and non-inclusive. <<-- that is a bit harsh, but you get my point?

my 2cents. pete .

I think this is something that would help. I am bad at graphics for sure but its definitely something I conceptualise(d), particularly at the start to get my head around how data is travelling. Thanks for your feedback, Pete

Hi Pete, Tutorial 0 is on the way amongst a number of improvements to the initial tutorials that will allow people to more easily understand key concepts of FrameLib. The whole series of learning modules begin at a much broader level - as you said, what is FrameLib, rather than what it is in Max.

    Thanks
