Change the default font for equations

Issue #81 wontfix
Former user created an issue
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Use the original classic-thesis template
2. Add some equations and look at pdf output
3. Compare the same equation when used in [document] format of latex (without classic-thesis).

The equations look somehow unpleasing to the eye, since I've been used to the basic
font used for mathematical equations in latex (which I believe to be Computer Modern,
cm?).

I've tried multiple ways to set the default equations in my thesis to use the traditional
cm font without success.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
classic-thesis 4.0, using OS X 10.9

    To clarify I meant [article] instead of "... in [document] format..."

    I've tried using mathpazo to change the font but have only been able to change the
    font of the text and not the mathfont using:

    \usepackage{mathpazo}
    \renewcommand\rmdefault{cmr}

    I like the text font, I just would really like to change the default mathfont to computer
    modern {cmr}

    While the Computer Modern fonts look wonderful, it is not recommended to mix them with
    Palatino text type (from a typographical point of view). It would be better then for
    you to change the whole document to Computer Modern (but with Old Style Figures), i.e.,
    using http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/hfoldsty

    Thank you so much for your answer !

    If I happen to still want to keep the Palatino text type and want to use Computer Modern
    fonts for mathematical equations only (even if this means that it would not be ideal
    from a typographic point of view), is there a way I could do this with the thesis-template?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    V
