creating sectioned bibliography with bibtopic does not work - no bibliography/reference at all is shown

Issue #98 invalid
Former user created an issue
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. with bibtopic loaded and available: add \usepackage[dot]{bibtopic} to Preamble
2. add "References" (chapter*),enter, add "Voss" (section*),enter,then Insert>List/Toc>BibtexBibliography,
then Add "Voss.bib"
3. add "Bringhurst" (section*),enter,Inser>List/Toc>Bibliography, then Add "Bringhurst.bib"
etc.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After compilation I expected to see a structured Biblography headed by "References"
and below two different and comprehensive bibliographies subtitled "Voss" and "Bringhurst".
But I saw only the main title and the two subtitles printed, everything nicely structured
- however, without a single reference in either of the two bibliographies.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
openSUSE 13.2, KDE 4.14.2; Lyx 2.1.2; KbibTex 0.5.1; classicthesis-LyX-4.1

Please provide any additional information below.
I was unable to tackle the same problem before with openSUSE 13.1.
I am writing a Masterthesis in Linguistics (module Linguistic added) and was able so
far to load and use some specificae typical in linguistics like drawing structured
trees, laying out glosses etc.
Before adding the bibtopic package to the preamble the lyxdocument had contained "Bibliography.bib"
that comes along with ClassicThesis Package. It was gone then and not visible anymore
in the PDF document -just like the other two bibliographies in question.

PS: A great template! Should I be forced to switch to a another/poorer template because
of this one single bug (in my opinion it must be a bug!) for reason that both the University
and the outstanding quality of my Thesis strongly demand professionally structured
references?!
If this problem is not a bug but instead caused by my own incompetence, please accept
my deepest apologies!

Not sure if this has anything to do with classicthesis. Have you tried using plain KOMA-Script
Report as a Document Class, does your example work with it? Have you told LyX that
you're using sectioned bibliography (Document Settings>Bibliography)? Please check
http://wiki.lyx.org/BibTeX/Tips too. I believe you'll need to use some LaTeX code to
get the things done properly. People at tex.stackexchange.com or LyX newsgroups might
    know more about this.
