I believe a feature that allows you to edit the response field directly in the editor would be very helpful, you can implement this functionality?

i can't understand well. if you mean, to edit the response side directly within anki card viewer (as there is not always a single field on the response side of the card), it is more simple and handy to use the anki's edit card dialog and want lots of works to do. thanks for sharing your idea with me although i cant help more.
