Issues with blocked connections in Poste.io Pro

Issue #348 resolved
Former user created an issue

We’re facing some issues since the last upgrade of Poste.io PRO 2.0.7.

Our IP from our local network is getting automatically blocked by Poste.io and landing into the automatically generated blacklist. Unfortunately we don’t have a static IP and it happens everyday when we get a new IP.

The result is that we cannot connect to the Mailserver for sending mails. Is there any way to deactivate the automatically generated blacklist for connections coming from authenticated users?

It seems that our ISP IPs have all a bad reputation (which is not surprising)...

Script automaticaly blocks connections for one day after 10 invalid SMTP connections = invalid mean that email was not send. It was meant to prevent bruteforce password crackers. You should see logs first if there is something strange going on at your network (or if there is another type of bug).

I will make plugin toggleable at next version. You can patch config inside container at opt/haraka-smtp/config/block_bad_connections.ini or opt/haraka-submission/config/block_bad_connections.ini until then or override whole config (see https://poste.io/doc/extending-mailserver)
