Password Change not Updating Password

Ive recently updated my password via the web interface, and I've noticed that I can still access my e-mail via my mobile device with the same old password. Is this expected?

repo owner If your phone held connection open, there was no need to reauthenticate. Can you please try change password and reboot your phone?

As an update, it finally did prompt me to change my password on my phone but it took a long while and I was still seeing e-mails for awhile since I updated the password
