How to change a domain name?

Hi,

recently we changed our domain name to a new one. No I have around 30 email accounts under the old domain name and would like to “migrate“ them to the new one.

Can I just stop the container, change the folder name to the new domain name and restart it again or will it produce some serious errors? If so, is there any other elegant way to archive this goal without having to manually migrate every account via some kind of SMTP tools? Unfortunately there is about 100 gb of data ...

Sadly no.

• first and best option is to just forward new domain to old one (you will not need any changes at clients)
• or you can create 30 new accounts and move to them content of data directories of old ones
• or rename folder AND update sqlite database (there is lot of references to domain, so you would need go through almost every user row and change it)
