Roundcube Error /

Server is a standalone mailserver.

container is started via command:

 docker run --net=host -e TZ=America/NewYork -v ~/mailserver/data:/data --name "mailserver" -h "mail.easypurchasing.net" -t poste.io/mailserver

which exactly matches the getting started page for my environment.

are there any other steps required to get roundcube webmail working? I am able to log in, and to read emails, however, if I try to send an email in the client, I get the error like in the attached photo.
