SMTP error from remote server for DATA command: reason: 554 very bad karma score

Issue #932 new
Stefan created an issue

When I try to send an email to our postio instance, the email seems to be blocked by a spam filter.
The sender receives an automatic email with the following content:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error.

The following address failed:

    xxx@xxxx:
SMTP error from remote server for DATA command, host: xxxxx.xx (xx.xx.xx.xxx) reason: 554 very bad karma score: -15

--- The header of the original message is following. ---
.........
.........
.........

That is very strange, because when I scan the E-Mail with RSPAMD, the it results in a positive karma score. Also, the E-Mail itself does not appear in the history of the RSPAMD UI. It seems to be blocked before RSPAMD.

I also tried to disable “Inbound spam check” in the system settings of Posteio, but that didn’t change anything.

The email also does not appear to be visible anywhere, (for example there is nothing in the docker log). It’s only visible in the “Connections realtime” on the dashboard.

Is there anything I am missing? Maybe some configuration issue?

    Piggyback on this issue:
I have also a lot of mail sent to post that end up with a bad karma error when they are sent from reputable sources.
Would it be possible to know where to tweak the settings for Haraka there is nothing in the administration panel nor the config files…?
