"completed successfully" but didn't actually do anything
Issue #30
resolved
I'm running ancile on a fresh install of windows 7 and it says it's performing all it's tasks but nothing happens, no windows updates are uninstalled or hidden. It also finishes each task very quickly so it seems like it's not really doing them. Tried after and before updating. Really hoping to get this working.

reporter No third party software, this happened after only installing and updating. I had re-downloaded it a couple times but I tried again anyway and it worked this time to my surprise. I don't know if this fixed it but the only thing I can think that I did was change User Account Control Settings to "Never notify". Thank you for responding and for your work on this project.

I've seen this type of behavior on some systems that have security software which prevents the types of operations that Ancile performs, but there's usually some indication that something has failed. Are you running any third party software that might be blocking or reverting Ancile's changes?
You might want to try re-downloading the latest version of Ancile (https://bitbucket.org/ancile_development/ancile/downloads/) and running it again.
If that doesn't work:
