I have the same issue, only a few sounds aren’t broken and it changes in severity based on what I toggle on or off in no particular pattern.

Hm, this might be an issue of missing OpenAL features on certain systems. If this is really the problem I won't be able to do much. I will look into checking for compatibility but the only option when missing features would just be to disable to mod automatically.
Could you please report what system you are running on? Could you also verify if there really is a difference between multiplayer and singleplayer?
If it works 100% in singleplayer something else I don’t quite understand yet must be at play.

Windows 10, reinstalled the mods aaaand it works for me, huh, strange.
My only complaint is that the player’s own footsteps are too quiet

#3. Does this server provide automatic resourcepacks? If so this issue is confirmed fixed in the latest version. - Log in to comment
I could not reproduce this problem.
I tried in on a Vanilla Server, a Spigot Server and a server with fabric installed, sounds and the filters worked perfectly every time.
Please provide more information for me to be able to reproduce this bug and I will reopen this issue.
