Exact translation checkbox

The exact checkbox needs improvements.

• Make the exact checkbox more visible
• Add a key shortcut and a menu item
• Tooltip explanation

Possible visibility increase options:

• Exact icon somewhere
• Radio buttons (exact / adaptation)

@peeter_t2, the exact checkbox is currently located on the article edit "bottombar". I'm planning on adding special symbols to that bar. Would this increase visibility by switching the users focus on the bar? Maybe mention the checkbox in the preferences?

Moving the checkbox on the toolbar is not an option, because this results in confusion on which opened article is exact and which is not.

Not sure exactly, perhaps the current location might work as well. Users are difficult to predict. An extra image as flag that specifies exact-inexact on each of the articles in the menu on the left might help. Not sure how difficult that would be to implement though.

I understand how moving it to the toolbar would be more confusing than helping. May have a better idea if I fully understand the current upload system. Also possible would be to "mark as exact" after selecting the articles (and before uploading), but this might be confusing too, and I imagine the most difficult to implement, so I wouldn't propose that for now.

Mentioning it in the preferences would help too. Possibly you can add a set as default option. "I usually make exact translations (set exact translation as default)"

I think we should hold on the visibility part until we get actual feedback on how the program is being used.

Yes, agreed, not needed until we know there is some confusion, but anything that is easy to implement (such as some info, even set as default in the preferences) could be done beforehand.

The point of that button really isn't to provide a creative place to use the program however they want, but to give as clear and exact instructions that would get better data on them.

But this issue is not a priority at the moment. Tooltips will already help this too.

Tooltips will come later.

I added default translation mode to Text corpus in preferences. Hopefully this counts as increasing its visibility. Otherwise there is no good way of doing it.
