Show time-out information on failed downloading of articles

Some public internet connections seem to not allow the programs opening/downloading of articles. Instead of simply "nothing happens", a time-out could be reached and the user be notified of either no connection or not working internet connection.

Same information should be shown when uploading problems.

No.

There is a indicator showing the connection state.

I will have a look info timeouting. This might be too complicated, based on how the whole content retrieval system works.

Maybe most simple is just to put a timer and on time-out it will stop if download hasn't started yet and show a message to the user. The program can state there is a "connection error" but doesn't need to know of what kind it is...
