Monolith "companions" when I am ecologist.

Okay so I started the game as a lone stalker did the tutorial quest and made my way to yantar to sell artifacts and become ecologist to become everybodys friend but when i fast travels back to cordon rookie village i noticed the hud said i had 3 companions, they were in fact monolith companions, they were stationed in pripyat but making their way to me, when they finally got to me they attacked me on sight through a fast travel where they spawned on top of me with no warning and killed me several times. If i was playing on ironman mode that would have ended my run.

now what i think it was, was that they were ordered to assassinate me because i was trying to turn off the brain scorcher but didnt have enough money to buy the helmet.
