Delayed Repairs: Mechanic Binocular Upgrade Bug

Playing with Delayed Repairs mode on, giving the binoculars to the mechanic to upgrade along with an additional item seems to bug it out. I can take back the other item just not the binoculars. Pic 1 Pic 2
