Mask Overlay Causes Misalignment of Gun Sights

Issue #431 new

The iron sights of many guns have a visible misalignment, off-centre to the left. It's only a few pixels but it can cause shots to miss at mid/long range. Notably, this doesn't affect sniper rifles - or any scope with its own screen overlay, like the PSO-1m scopes.

However, it turns out that this leftwards discrepancy is actually caused by Mask Overlays. See attached picture, of the (random) examples: Steppe Eagle, MP-133, and SVT-40 (though there aren't many guns this doesn't affect). The only difference between the top row and bottom row of images is the Mask Overlay setting. I am wearing the same armour (Looted NBC) and stood stationary for all images. This also affects other armours & masks with the same condensation overlay (such as the Loners "Wastelander" suit), though I haven't tested the SEVA-suit overlay.
