Vortex anomaly - severe performance degradation

I am encountering a severe performance problem with the Vortex anomalies, it seems.

Typically, my FPS goes around 70-110, HOWEVER, every time something blows up in a nearby anomaly, it dips to 2-5 FPS for a few seconds, (until that anomaly is done with the explosions).

I suspected that the 'Soft Particles' graphics option may have something to do with it, (Anomaly still being a WiP), but no changes even with it off.

IN SHORT, even with disabled 'Soft Particles', no change. It happens every time with those Vortex anomalies. Steady 70-110 down to 2-5 FPS, temporarily.

Dx11, '16GB RAM, 4GB VRAM' profile, if that is relevant.

It happens in every single instance with an 'explosion' in Vortex.
