The Scheduler does not have "Administer projects" and " Create issue" permission

Issue #199 closed
May-Britt Støen created an issue

Plugin says: The Scheduler does not have "Administer projects" and " Create issue" permission But the Scheduler user has been given these rights in the permission schema.

The Scheduler The Scheduler user does not have "Administer Project" and "Create Issue" permission. Please contact your JIRA administrator to give this permission/s to that user.

    Hi Stoen,

This issue is already resolved (few days ago @mkucharek had send you an email with an explanation) but I will update the answer here, so that other users could easily find this solution.

The error you’re seeing is being displayed due to the fact that “The Scheduler” user does not have enough permissions to operate correctly, though the message may not be explanatory enough.

Besides “Create Issue” and “Administer project”, The Scheduler user also needs “Browse Users” global permission in order to work properly. Please go to JIRA Administration -> System -> Global permissions and make sure that The Scheduler user is given “Browse Users” permission via any group (take a look at the screenshots below).

The easiest way to achieve it would be to add the permission to “jira-core-users” and “jira-software-users” groups (which is a default setting, by the way). If for some reason it still does not do the job, you may need to see which groups “The Scheduler” user belongs to by going to User Management -> Users and then searching for “addon_pl.com.tt.jira.plugin.theschedulerpro” user (You need to change “Active users” dropdown to “System users”) and then add the required groups with “Add group” button.

I hope this is going to resolve this issue. Let us know if you need anything else at support.atlassian(at)tt.com.pl

    Cheers,
