Import cannot be done

Issue #250 resolved
Former user created an issue

Hi all,

I am trying to update from 4.3.2 to the latest version. After the update was done the users were noticing that some of the scheduled issues were missing. I downgraded to back to 4.3.2 and the scheduled issues are there. I also tried to export from 4.3.2 the issue in an XML file and import it after the update but I receive the following error (see attachment).

Thanks!

    Dear User,

    I need some additional information:

    • What is the database type and its version?

    • What is the exact JIRA version that you get this error on (e.g. JIRA Software 7.0.5)?

    • The best would be if you could send us html code from the page where you get this error “The import file contains an error…” - thanks to it our developers' team can find what may cause such problem. (You can download html page by right clicking on page and saving page as html only, or "Ctrl + s", and if it is not available in your browser please google "how save a webpage +YourBrowserName")

    • Please also make a screenshot of that screen, with opened browser console (done via pressing F12 in most browsers i.e. Chrome) – if there are red errors visible make them visible on the screenshot.

    • Support ZIP added as an attachment will be highly appreciated - https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/create-a-support-zip-790796819.html - if its size is more than 10 MB then please use some third party file locker to upload it i.e. http://tinyupload.com

    Regards, Dominik

    Hello Mihai,

Thanks for confirming - to keep it in the issue log I'll paste the information that I've received but is not visible here:

"Its happening on JIRA Software 7.2.6 and 7.4.3. 4.3.2 is the scheduler's version. Since its an open platform please give me an email address and I can send you the support zip and page"

In relation to support zip and the rest of what I've asked - our mailbox doesn't allow large attachments and support ZIP with the other things above mentioned may be way over 20 MB, so you can use subscription free tinyupload.com and just paste here as a comment the URL you get after uploading the files. This service doesn't require for you to provide them with any email. You can just upload a file and receive an URL that you can share with me.

If it's not possible then the email is: support.atlassian@tt.com.pl

    Many thanks, Dominik

    Hello Mihai,

Please be advised that your firewall probably blocked it as I do not see anything delivered so far. Moreover in the previous email with JIRA support ZIP, the second attachment was blocked and I've received instead of it: 2017-09-25 15_04_55-New notification.png

    Many thanks, Dominik
