Setting date in Custom Field

I really enjoy the possibility of dynamic setting Due Date Field, but due to weird JIRA permission scheme (connection with Rank change on Agile Boards), I cannot give all users permission to change due date. That's why I created a custom field, let's say I named it "deadline" ,which meaning is the same as due date.

So, is there any chance that you'll make such a mechanism for creating dynamic value for a date field for others (custom) fields than due date?

Hi, Thanks for the proposal. I would say there is a big chance to introduce this feature. In next release containg new features we will focus on "sharing" schedule issues but I in the next one after that we may consider adding this. We will keep you updated.

We just released version 4.1.1 with extended functionality for custom date field, so from now on you can set dynamic values for it just like in due date field.
