Column Memory, Custom Fields, Search & Viewable Lists

Issue #8 on hold
Former user created an issue

I have 4 highly recommended improvements. I'll let you decide if you break them into individual tickets:

  1. Add Custom Fields to View-able Columns Priority = Major I cannot express how helpful it would be to allow ANY field to be displayed (such as the issue navigator). This would help navigation a LOT.

  2. Remember Column Configuration Priority = Major (Especially if Custom Fields are added). When using The Scheduler 3.0.1 the column configuration is nice, but it seems that my configurations are never remembered (so when I leave the page and return later I still have to reconfigure them). This is pretty annoying.

  3. Column Filters or No Pager Priority = Major In previous versions of The Scheduler there was no pager, so it actually make it easier to find scheduled tasks (using Control+F). Now, I have to click next up to 18 times to find what I'm looking for (which is really annoying, time consuming and also the "next" button moves if I have too much info in each row, so it takes even longer to move my mouse and click on each page. Plus the delete button is right below this, so if I don't move my mouse it may ask if I want to delete all selected tasks (already happened to me). If leaving pager on (probably for load speed) is necessary, column filters or some kind of search feature would be very valuable.

  4. Non-Admin Viewable Lists Priority = Critical It would be very very very helpful if there was a view-only way for non-admin users to see all of their (assignee) issues. Otherwise people don't really know what tasks they have, which makes it difficult for them to request changes to their scheduled issues. This seems even more important now that there seems to be an interface for created scheduled tasks without entering Administrator mode (though perhaps this is only enabled for me as I am an Administrator).

This is a great plugin that could use a little more love to really be top notch.
