Cell Security formatting or Conditional Formatting in UX

Customer is challenging us they are not able to differentiate whether something can be input or cannot be input, we have some workflow status to control cells whether some cell can be written or not.

On TM1Web, a Cube Viewer already have this capability, but seems like UX cannot show the inactive cell coloring and causing quite a bit of confusions and customer is foreseeing this is a major problem for their support when the system go live.
