I would like to see a generic time slider feature. Not all models use the same time dimension. Plus it could be used for any dimension. We have a process dimension step 1 - step N, it would be great to use a slider control to pick the subset to display.

Yah. I agree, I think the simple and generic way is to setup an attribute (with a standard name) for this slider feature, in which you can control the node shown up in the slider bar as well as the order via that attribute value, so it is actually no longer restricted to time dimension.
