Date Dropdown Default Year/Month

I would like to request an enhancement for the date dropdown pop-up window. When it currently opens up (and the underlying cell is empty), it defaults to the current date).

It would be helpful if the default Year/Month can be specified somewhere (i.e., possibly stored as an attribute). This way, the user does not need to scroll forward/back from the current month/year each time they access the dropdown.
