Embedded TI widget subnm-multi parameter doen't update in response to change in setting service

Issue #540 resolved
Scott Wiltshire created an issue

Describe the bug
Embedded TI widget with parameters defined as type subnm-multi don’t refresh the MDX in response to change in filter selection where the filter selection is driving a setting service variable in the tm1Mdx variable of the subnm. For parameters of type “subnm” the refresh works as expected.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. have embedded TI widget with MDX for a subnm parameter which is linked to setting service
  2. Change filter
  3. Click on subnm dropdown of parameter. Element list should have updated but hasn’t.

Expected behavior
subnm-multi should update in response to setting service change (just as “subnm” and “input” type does wherte the value is defined using setting service variable)

Screenshots
Sector “airlines” is selected the MDX for the Industry subnm is defined as “{[Industry].[Industry].[$<<CorpFinance.Sector.Sector>>].Children}“

Change the sector selection (with either nav list or filter). The list in the subnm-multi doesn’t update.

    Hi Jenni,

In 2022.06 FP2 this issue affected subnm and subnm-multi.

As of 2022.06 FP3 this is fixed for subnm parameter type and only affecting subnm-multi. The subnm-multi control is not yet officially documented or supported (although it has been there inthe background for a few versions). This should be an official feature in the 2022.11 release. So if this is affecting subnm controls recommended to upgrade to 2022.06 FP3.
