Use Sandboxing in UX

Issue #636 resolved
Rodrigo Mazziero created an issue

Currently UX does not support Sandbox. As it is a native TM1/PAL feature, clients are asking about it, and would like to use it, similar as it is possible to use in TM1Web, PAW..

This request is coming also from Boeing Defense Australia, as they have many end-users that use the Sandbox feature.

This functionality is available in all Planning Analytics tools, it would be great to have in UX as well.

Knowing if it is on the roadmap, any ETA date, or any update would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Regards,

Rodrigo

Hi @Rodrigo Mazziero Sandboxing is on the enhancement list but it has a low priority. In every questionaire we have ever done regarding roadmap and enhancements, support for sandboxig has consistently ranked last compared to all other features. Unless this changes then to be honest there will always be another feature which adds morte value which takes priority. If there are customers who want this feature then we need to hear from them directly.

    Hi @Scott Wiltshire !

Thanks for your reply. I understand, I believe we had this same conversation 1 year ago.

I just thought would be good to have the ticket created, as this IS a direct request from a client, Boeing Defense Australia.

They are asking me about having this feature in UX lately again, and would be good to have a more clear answer for it.

Also, searching here on Bitbucket issues, found one from 2019 from Wei, https://bitbucket.org/apliqoc3ux/apq-c3-ux/issues/77/data-input-issue-with, asking about sandbox as well, later there is a comment on 2021 from another person asking about it..

if there’s any update, let me know, would be great to know.

    Thanks!

Sandbox data entry will be included in the 2023 May release. A beta should be available timed for the London conference if you want to test it and show the customer.

    Hi Scott,

    Great! thanks for the update!

Yes, that would be good, if I can have the beta to test and show it to them!

    thanks!
